The first movie that I chose is "Three Kings" which stars George Kluny and Ice Cube. The film begins at the end of the America vs. Iraq war. These soldiers decide that they want to go after the Gold that Saddam Hussein stole from Kuwait, since there was a clause in the agreement after the war that all that was stolen was going to be returned. The catch is that they were going to keep it for themselves without informing the American government. " The Patriot " is my second war movie. It is about a retired war general from England, who's wife has died and since her sister has moved to one of the 13 colonies he moves as well, with all of his seven children. Mel Gibson, The Patriot is known for one battle where he had killed 30 men in a brutal and disgraceful manner as a form of revenge. By 1763, relations between England and the 13 colonies had collapsed. It had escalated to the point that the colonies no longer wanted to have any relations with England, they wanted Freedom, which lead to the American Revolution. Gibson's eldest son enters the war without his permission. Gibson refuses claiming that he knew what war was like and he didn't want his son involved in it. After about a month his son gets captured and put to be executed for treason. His second son tries to help his brother escape but gets killed. Gibson saves his first-born son and forces Gibson to enter the war, the last thing he wanted to be a part of. Gibson gets ambushed and his son dies by the same person that killed his other son. He gets revenge with the person that killed both his sons by killing him. At the end the colonies win because of Gibson's Guerilla type warfare. Somehow or another, his youngest mute daughter begins to speaks and he marries his sister in law and they all live happily ever after. I could be reading too much into this but the fact that Gibson was able to lead a normal life after having two of his sons killed shows
