This Protestant civil rights leader went to every distance he could to stop racial segregation. He did it with pride, he did it with dignity, and most of all he did it without violence. Malcolm X most defiantly presents the stronger case. Though very violent and rough with his ideas it seems he feels someone has got to get the job done. I think Malcolm would get people to turn his way faster then King only because they want to hear about revenge. Malcolm makes it sound as if they did it to us it’s ok if we do it back to them. We should get what we want, and do whatever it takes to get it. Violence should not be the answer, but its what most people want to hear. They want equal rights; they believe they deserve it just as much as the whites do.

On the contrary Malcolm X went about his reform a little different. Malcolm believed that if the white hate us then I’ll get all the black to hate the white. His idea of a revolution meant that violence was necessary. He believed no revolution would ever work if there were no bloodshed. He gave examples of revolutions in his Message to the Grass Roots, and he stated how each was violent and involed bloodshed, he could not stress that enough to the people. He wanted to persuade them to believe violence was the answer. He made this very clear in his Message to the Grass Roots. As a former street hustler and pimp, Malcolm realized he wanted a new life for his people, no matter what it takes. Malcolm’s language and attitude in his message was very uneducated and nasty.
