Although athletes continue to break records, society believes this is because of steroids rather than of pure talent. Some people think that this is due through the use of steroids. Some argue that because some professional athletes take them they should be allowed to. Many argue that not only are steroids bad for your health, but it sends a bad message to little children that look up to these athletes. Steroids are not just a problem at the professional level. What about amateur athletes such as collegiate or high school athletes? For collegiate athletes, steroids are frowned upon. Some argue that with school, practice and the many demands on a student athlete they need steroids to help restore muscle growth. Due the lack of sleep and demand on their time, they are asked to help out in the community. Their academic demands are to, be at class early, and leave late, and practice between two to four hours a day. I think that an athlete should be able to take some sort of dietary supplement.
