Computer Programs used in Reading Instruction

Computer Programs used in Reading Instruction.
I chose to do my review on how computer programs can be used for reading instruction in the class room. My article was written by a teacher who is not only a reading specialist but also a technical support teacher as well. .
The school in my article had just recently received a new computer lab.              • Time was wasted while the children were searching.

             • Problems with the computers and their programs.

             • Not enough class discussion.

They had planned on using the computers during one of those phases. .
The article went on to show how they incorporated the use of the laptops into their reading curriculum. In closing the author offered several ideas to help technology and reading work together.
I found this article to be very informative. Many of us know how to use computers for our own personal use but that is not enough when it comes to teaching children. I also like the ideas that she offered at the end to help your computer class time be fully utilized.
