How the Media Presents the News

Take a minute and think about what article topics catch one’s eyes. What comes to mind? Articles with a catchy little phrase or a ridiculous issue that has been an ongoing problem for sometime. The media is a money-making business, just like anything else in this world. The media is suppose to be a reliable and credibly source that people can count on being the truth. How many times has someone read about a story in several different newspapers, magazines, etc. and there has been a different version of the story in each and every one of the articles. We are right here in America and we let the media present us with false articles, reports and composite photographs. If we as people don’t take a stand, this will be an ongoing problem and we will continue to be the victims.

Personally, I have been a victim of “hype” news. My best friend was murdered over the Thanksgiving break while visiting with some friends. Through investigation it was found out that the triple shooting was gang related. Although, my friend was a victim, she was hardly involved in a gang. T
