Kathy Fagan- Visitation
Kathy Fagan’s Visitation, is a poem with a lot of symbolism that can easily be disregarded as irrelevant because of lack of attention to minor details. The poem expresses a sense of an epiphany, a moment of truth. It speaks about both the arrival (visitation) and the departure of something or someone. We have to allow our minds to frequently visit other places and people in order for it to have a recollection in the future. That recollection would be our only and last visitation before death …which is something inescapable.
