The traditional news forecast presents facts. This is a statement that would not be refuted by many. However, at a slow pace, some heads are starting to turn when words such as “news media” and “facts” are thrown together. In order to verify the factual preciseness of a report, one must consider the source by which it is regulated. Is the media biased? This question could arise a debate out of any ordinary American these days. It is the trials of the political mind and the human spirit that have led to a newfound consciousness of the world that surrounds us. If a child is injured by the negligence of an adult, the Daily Show might take that opportunity to expand upon the horribleness of the situation by catching the viewer using hyperbolic scenes. By exaggerating a situation, the point can be made more clearly and effectively. When an idea is taken effectively, there is more of a chance of change coming about from its revelation. Without the disturbance of someone’s mind or conscious, the news is simply another informative source that is wasted on ignorance.
