With all of this said about SP, there are treatments for this condition. While many escape the fact that they suffer from a serious condition not knowing the name of it. Other don’t even get help, feeling demoralized that they have a problem they can't fix themselves. Only one out of twenty of those who suffer from SP get professional help. There is medication for SP, it is referred to as Paxil. Whereas others prefer the non-medical solution known as cognitive- behavioral therapy. Paxil is an antidepressant that reduces social anxiety. Just knowing that your feelings of fear and anxiety are excessive, but not being able to act cool, calm, collected, and in control, no matter how hard you try is what makes those who live with SP panic frightfully.
