Giving money to income tax to support universal social services is the morally right thing to do and Canadians know it. Human kind has an obligation to look after those who can’t look after them selves. Canadians give billions of dollars to charities and homeless persons a year. When you walk down the street and see a pan handler you throw change into their hat because you know it’s the morally right thing to do. Same with social services you are giving money to the government to support everyone equality in the country. Senior citizens have paid into pensions and income tax for many years, for the government to no be able to support the seniors it would be morally wrong. What about a child that is born mentally and physically disabled everyone knows that the morally right thing to do to support that child. That child can’t go out and get a job to support himself, leaving him to die would be murder. So if Canadians are already giving out huge amounts of sums, the government should increase income tax so the money gets distributed properly for the needs of citizens.
