According to books my name (Ebony) means black. Yet, to my family my name means a lot more that a color. For example, as acknowledged by my mother, the older I become the more I learn about black history and understand where my name has truly originated from. Also as avowed by my sister Nichole, the personality of me (Ebony) is happy, joyful, and yet, adamant to one’s mind, thoughts, and feelings.
