Jackson vs the media
Michael Jackson has been in the media spotlight all his life, from having success in his music career, to rumors about his plastic surgery to sexually abusing a boy in 1993. Do you think the media is mistreating Michael Jackson? If you read the different news paper accounts and view the television broadcast about Michael Jackson you may realize the media has disproportionately focused on his behavior and unfairly questioned his ability to be a good father. In some cases their comment has just been mean spirited for example: “He’s no longer the toast of teen culture. The Peter Pan routine might have been cute at 24. It’s creepy at 44“ (Bozell). Even though Michael Jackson has much wealth and success from his music career, he has also been the target of a lot of misjudgment by the media. In 1982 Jackson created the world’s largest selling album of all time, “Thriller”.
