Europe would be a mess. Communism would be rampant. There would be no stand still cold war that developed later on because at that point we would be the inferior nation. The fear of not being number one in military tactics, army regime, and just plain old power, was a slap in the face to our country and the heads of our nation at that proposed time. Money talks, that is what got us where we are now. Although the communist party had a power to be contended with, the United States had money and power.
