The Christians were open-minded. They felt that Jesus’ messages were extremely important in practicing their religion. They saw that the spirit of God’s law could be found through these messages. The spread of Christianity was the labor of devoted missionaries that were led by Paul, Peter, and John. Christianity closed the gap that was left by the fade of Roman authority. The Christians believed that if the laws were followed then Jesus would grant eternal life. This religion became the official religion in Rome (29-31).
