Stabbing, shotting, robbery, rape, and senseless brutality. These are all examples of violence we are bombarded with in our everyday lives. Media exposes it to us through television, radio, video games, magazines, billboards and movies. We see it everywhere we go. Violence is in our homes, our schools. It is in the morning news, history class, even in the Saturday morning cartoons. Society promotes violence through martial arts classes, the readily available weaponry, and patriotic slogans of war. Why, do you ask? If we as a society are seemingly against violence, why is it everywhere we turn? Because we, as a nation, are addicted to violence. Some of the most popular shows on television include Law and Order, E.R., Reality Television such as "Real T.V," and almost all cartoons.
