Alcoholism

With frequent use of heavy dosage of psychoactive chemicals your brain chemistry is being changed. A person can not be a fully functional human being if they are using psychoactive chemicals. They can appear to be, for example, a functioning alcoholic, but they are just fooling you, it’s impossible. The neurotransmitters are being depleted in your brain. The alcohol, oxyconten, and other drugs cause the depletion of GAB transmitters and the seratonine in a person’s brain. The abuse of stimulants such as coke, ecstasy and meth deplete the dopamine. The abuse of hallucinogens, such as pot, depletes amandamind. At some point you will make your body build up its tolerance, become tissue dependent and go through withdrawal.

You may ask yourself, why do people even bother to use psychoactive chemicals? You may wonder how someone could want to do anything that harmful and ludicrous to his or her own bodies. The main reason that someone could do something like that to himself or herself is out of pure curiosity. You may see other people using the drugs or drinking alcohol and seeing what a great time they’re having, you may wonder what it is like to feel like that too. Peer pressure also plays a big role in how come pe

Different sets of psychoactive chemicals alter different sets of neurotransmitters thereby producing different feelings and emotions. Sedative alcohol initiates GABA, which will make you uninhibited. This will make you less reserved, more out going and unrestrained. A stimulant such as cocaine produces dopamine, which will give your body energy. This will also bring along more self-confidence, liveliness, reduce appetite, more alert, active and anxious. In general all stimulants give you energy, but the drug manipulates this energy. It will trigger your pleasure neurotransmitters. Normally, you will need the extra energy your brain replaces for activates such as working out, sex and studying. But, the drug manipulates that and makes you more energized then you should be. Epinephrine is for energy, Nor epinephrine is for confidence, Seratonin is for emotional balance and Dopamine is for pleasure or satiation. With Central Nervous System Stimulants, such as coke, meth and speed, you don’t need the extras. You will take the stimulant, you will like the feeling therefore you will take more and more. The energy and pleasure neurotransmitters will be depleted and then you will become exhausted. In turn then your high will crash and you will take more to reach that high again. But, it is impossible to get that first high back again so you will take more and more just trying to reach that unreachable first high. A halluosinogine, such as pot, will give you sensory feelings. You may think you’re seeing things that are not really there or have uncontrollable laugher and get the sudden urge for food. The one thing that all drugs have in common is that they all alter something in or about your body.

The next stage may become addiction. How can you tell if you are addicted? Addiction is a chemical dependency problem. Your tolerance will go about by about 50% and if you stop using for a couple of hours you may feel withdrawal symptoms. If you are addicted you may use more and longer then you first intended on doing. You may of told yourself you were only going out for a drink and six beers later you find yourself hammered, still at the bar and unable to stop drinking. You may spend a lot of time getting the drug, using the drug and recovering from using the drug. If the drug starts to become all you do and all you think about you defiantly have a problem. You also may start to give up important acti
