Dwarves are mostly characterized by their short stature and long beards. Unlike Elves and Men, Dwarves are not children of Ilùvatar; instead they are created by Aule. Dwarves are the descendants from the eldest of the Seven Fathers, Durin the Deathless. Dwarves were mortal and lived around 250 years.
