Eating lunch under a patio roof, you look up to the roof of the M building. You can’t help but notice to see seagulls aligned on the rooftop. With their fierce eyes, they look like an army ready to attack. After a period of time, you suddenly see a flock of pigeons flying crazily over the lunch area. Seeing these pigeons seemed like a sign, a sign of danger. Without hesitation, the seagulls start to fly towards the pigeons. Oh no, you think. Bombs away. This might seem like everyday life for students at AHS. Everyday, students who are sitting under the patio or walking around school campus see this “attack” occur. It might not involve two different kinds of birds, but you always see at least one kind. To you it might be a sign telling you to run, but why. The
Looking back on hating the birds, do you think that these solutions are worth being done? Birds might be a problem to us, but don’t you think the birds might even think that we’re a problem. Maybe if we didn’t feed the birds our food during our free time, we wouldn’t have this problem. If you have a problem with birds pooping on your head, go buy a hat. Putting up barbed wire around campus would bring up a lot of controversy. Just putting up barbed wire for one day would injure or even kill 100s of birds because of their huge population at our school. Would it be worth it to endanger and kill just because we want to have a poop-free day?
