The word is out and everywhere you go it has become the gossip amongst all educators and especially those who are in the classroom on a daily bases. You are probably wondering what it is that I am speaking about? What I am talking about is the No Child Left Behind legislation passed by overwhelming members of the United States congress in 2001 and signed into law by President Bush in the year of January 8, 2002. This piece of legislation to my understanding will revolutionarize the Elementary and Secondary education that children in the united state public schools receive. The legislation to my knowledge is built upon a foundation of accountability for improving student achievement and allowing flexibility and giving a more local control.
