Terrorism and People

As I was searching for books on terrorism I came across a couple very good ones, but the two I plan to use is "Preventing Nuclear Terrorism" by Paul Leventual and Yohan Alexander, the second book I chose is "Terrorism and Global Security" by Louis Rene` Beres. I found out that terrorism is used as a tactic of desperation, only to people who have no other way of fighting. There are also many types of terrorism in the world today and that there soul purpose is to get immediate publicity for their cause.

Terrorism is by far the worst sense of violence a person or persons can do. What makes terrorism such a problem is that it has no face and the people involved are willing to give everything, including their own life, to fight for what they believe in. With giving their own life they believe that they are following the Islamic religion, which to them means that they will spend eternal happiness in the after life. Terrorism is defined as, by Boaz Ganor, is the " deliberate use of violence against civilians in order to attain political, ideological, and religious aims."(P.2), Terrorist yearns for there cause to be in the national spotlight. That's why terrorist decide to bomb buildings and other civilian targets, because they n

eed to bring attention to themselves and to there cause. Is it attention that terrorist really wanted? Could it be that they are battling some sort of political issue between trades? Many people are strong believers that terrorist attacks are because of some inside fight between leaders. No Country has clearly made progress without bringing another country down. Every government is bound to make errors in judgments.

The hard-core leaders of the group are the dedicated professionals; they are very smart, charismatic, have many contacts and are usually from upper middle class families. Most of the leaders are taught right here in America in our schools. The leaders are not the ones who carry out the plan; they simply come up with one and provide everything that has to go into it. They prefer sending the lower class of people in the group, sort of like the army. The generals come up with the plan and the infantry carries it out. Here's the problem with terrorist, it's not like a country. With a country, if they invade us we will go over there and strike back. With terrorism, you can't hit with what you can't see. It's a face less enemy; all you can do is go after there

Couple will get hurt, it affects everyone. Now people have the mentality saying that it could have been them in that market place. So in turn terrorism takes a small amount of power and amplifies it through its psychological effect. The FBI has categorized two types of terrorism in the U.S. alone. One is Domestic terrorism, which are terror
