A True Friendship

What does it mean to be a friend? The dictionary defines it as "a person who knows, likes, and trusts." To me, a friend is someone who can always be there for you whenever to you need them. Friendship is a necessary aspect of every human's life; what would we do without them? Is a friend a big asset to anyone's life? Can they make or break that person? In one sense, yes. However, normal friendship goes deeper than just what other people do and say. The three most important aspects of being a good friend are love, bonding, and support. "Knowing what to say is not always necessary; just the presence of a caring friend can make a world of difference." - Sheri Curry.
The first important aspect of being a good friend is bonding. Most popular people think they have all the friends in the world. Yeah, they might have a lot of good friends, but do they truly have a best friend? A best friend is someone to turn to whenever you need to just get something off your chest or tell them you're in love with a certain someone. Sometimes a person cannot tell their parents something; that is what your friends are for. The things you have in common with your friends are so special that no one really knows how special they are between the two of you. Be who you are and say what you feel, because those people who matter don't care and those people who care don't matter. The second aspect of being a good friend is having love for one another. A true friend does not care what you look like or what you do because they like you for who you are. If they do care, then they are not who you thought they were. A true friend would do anything for you. .
Love is another component of friendship. One example of friendship really stands out in my mind. The friendship is between my sister and her boyfriend. No matter what, they are always together. This is mostly due to the fact that they are in love. Whenever I'm with them, I can see that look in their eyes.
