For most of us we come to college to further our education. By getting a better education we can obtain higher paying jobs, and with these jobs we can live a better lifestyle. These jobs also add to our social status and our physical well being. Some of these higher paying jobs add some extra money in our pockets so that we can buy all the things we dreamed about as kids.Now that I am in college I have to decide what job I want to have in my future. I have decided to become a civil engineer after college. I chose to become a civil engineer because I have good mathematic and science skills and I thought that they could best be utilized by being an engineer. I knew I had good mathematic skills by getting a twenty-nine on the ACT exam, and my science skills were evident by the twenty-five I received on the same exam. Being an engineer is a very serious job that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
