GERMANY CAUSED THE GREAT WAR
The Great War, the war that took away lives of men counting by millions. The injured and wounded list had no end, and the ones suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder shifted the balance in society. This war left families hopeless and laid a severe economical crisis to orphans and widows. Who or what brought this tragedy into 20th Century Europe? One must agree Germany is responsible to the uprising of World War I. It is very clear in one’s mind; Germany is the main factor this tragic and pointless war started. There dim-witted minds paved a straight road to World War I. However, it was due to Bismarck’s political genius Europe was able to maintain peace for a very short period of time. If William II hadn’t abandoned Bismarck’s political and foreign policy, the sparks that led to World War I. The poor reaction to the Serbia crisis initially started World War I, if Germany reacted quicker and insisted Austria – Hungary to work out a peaceful settlement with Serbia, there might not be a war or, if Germany didn’t offer a blank cheque to Austria - Hungary, there would be no way the Austrian – Hungarian government would declare war on Serbia. If the Germans did not try to upgrade their navy and begin to have colonial territory which very clearly was directed at the British Empire, the British and the French would still be enemies which would also weaken the tension and ambition for war from the French.
