“In sickness and in health ‘til death do us part”, with those familiar words, millions of people each year are married; a public affirmation of a private bond both society and the newlyweds hope will endure. However, this tradition of marriage has been denied to homosexuals not until this few days ago. Now that same-sex marriage has been legalized, many controversies, trivial arguments against it have been aroused. Religion shouldn’t interfere in the legalization of same-sex marriage only because love and fidelity are what matters most between couples, and marriage is a right of every individual including homosexuals. Religious values shouldn’t dictate who gets married.
