Excellent Shot

The heavy scent of seafood lingered in the air as the midnight whistle over the Teun Tian fish factory screeched out it's deadly warning. Downtown Seoul Korea was usually it's busiest at night. Mostly to the crime world anyways. The streets were aglow with the many neon signs that lined the way, many types of people walked their way up and down the streets, looking for a good time, be it gambling, drinking, dancing, whoring, every type of person came out at night. The nice old man who worked at the grocery market during the day for instance, ran guns at night. Nothing was as it seemed after the pureness of the sun left the scene. Nothing. "I told you not to get involved in that case Brian," a tall blonde woman spoke as she deftly stepped around people, trying to reach the table. The man she was speaking to shot her an annoyed look as he yanked a cigarette out of his pocket and tossed one at her. "Shut up Choi." he muttered as he brought the lighter to the tip of the cigarette dangling from his lips. When she didn't respond, he glanced up at her through his sunglasses meeting her icy stare. "I just gotta hear it tomorrow, I don't want it in stereo, the chief is gonna have my ass." "Well I guess you should have thought of

that when I told you not to get involved you fucking idiot," she shook her head and lit her own cigarette. Leaning back casually she swung her legs up onto the edge of the table, exhaling a puff of smoke. "And take of those god damned sunglasses you're a cop not a gang ppae for Christ's sake." Sinking lower in his seat, he did as he was told. Silence filled the air for a good half an hour, each of them smoking a few cigarettes, deep in their own thoughts. Brian had just been assigned to be Choi's partner a few weeks ago. Although she was technically higher ranking, she never wanted to work with anybody, and many refused to work with her so they were stuck together. She stuck out like a sore thumb here, being first off white, tall, blonde with blue eyes, not to mention being a cop. Her past was a mystery though, she never talked about it, she never talked about how she came to Korea, how she learned Korean or acquired her skills in gunsmithing, locksmithing, any of the things she did. A few years back, there was a burglar that everyone had dubbed as the cat. Some say it was a she, others aren't to sure. The cat stole valuable things, food, clothing, cars anything the cat wanted the cat got. No one could ever catch the cat though. She disappeared, and shortly there after Choi emerged as one of the best cops the department had to offer. Rumors floated about the office linking Choi to be the legendary cat, their skills were exact not to mention their heights and builds, but there was not enough proof. Brian was sure however, after working with her for only this short time, he was sure that Choi was most defiantly the legendary burglar. "What the hell are you staring at?" Brian glanced up and found her looking at him with and odd expression. While he was deep in thought he must have been accidentally staring at her. "Nothing sorry." he looked away sheepishly, only to look back as he heard her stand. "Where are you going?" "I'm gonna go get some information, I'll met up with you tomorrow Joo." "B-but." Brian stood and fumbled over his own chair. "I'm your partner, I have to go with you." Choi took a few more steps and stopped, smiling around the cigarette in her mouth. "Listen," she turned to him, giving him the run down with her eyes. '"You're a good kid Joo, but you're ignorant and not street smart, much to young to get killed. I can't have that on my conscious now can I?" He smirked. This was part of the reason no one wanted to work with Choi. She was arrogant, always thinking she was better off alone, and she had a habit of calling everyone kid, even if they were older then her, as he was. "I'm a cop too, give me a fucken break." She exhaled a puff and turned away, then looked back at him before walking off. "By letting you stay, I am." "One hundred!" "One Fifty! "One hundred!" "One fucken fifty and you better hand over that shit now or am I gonna hafta use force?" The blonde girl behind the
