Casablanca
Casablanca appears to be about people who are striving to escape from Europe, which was heavily populated with Nazis, to the freedom in America. This film, however, goes much deeper. It really tires to get support for the people fighting to free Europe from the Nazis. This film is an attempt to persuade Americans to get involved with World War II. Both the characters and the events show the symbolism in this film. This film does a terrific job in painting the image that hope for Europe to be free one day is not completely ludicrous. This film is a plea for Americans to get involved with the European struggle. The characters in this movie represent more than what appears on the outside. Richard Blaine plays the role of America. He is very self-involved as he tries to cope
