III. How much do we spend a year in Drug enforcement? According to the DEA, the national government spends around $30 billion dollars annually. The current drug-war strategy is; 75% for “interaction” and enforcement, 15% for education and prevention, 10% for treatment.

Propositional Statement: Outlawing marijuana is a severe problem in the United States. Due to the fact that the government spends so much money and millions of suffering patients are not permitted to acquire weed legally, I believe the only solution to the problem of i

alcohol and tobacco. Marijuana can just be another form of taxing a product so our country can make more money.

Transition: How many of your relatives do you think deserve to suffer because of the governments ignorance? Perhaps it will even be you one day? With millions of people suffering at the hands of the governments ideological idea that they will some day cease all production and use of marijuana, when will they see the light and come to reality that it‘s not going to happen? Not only can we benefit medically from the use of marijuana but we can also benefit from the production and sale of it as well.
