Definition of God

Some people say that you can tell how important a certain word is to a society by how many different words there are to describe it. Many people say that in America the word “money” has so many different terms that it is probably the most important word today. To me the most important word in our society is “God”. The meaning of the word God is so profound that there can not be just one way to say it. Many different cultures and religions have their own words to represent God. The most commonly used terms in Christianity that have the same meaning are Lord and Christ. God, to me, is most definitely the most important word in the world.

When I think of God I think of love, hope, happiness, faith, or promise. Those are just a few words to define what He means to me. He is my Savior, Messiah, Divine Creator, and Supreme Being. God is a reminder of everything that is good and pure in this world. He is the sun and the moon. Without these things there would be no light. God is an innocent newborn baby with no sin or shame. He is a kind gesture on the street where there is more often

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is bot proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (I Corinthians 13:4-7)

After reviewing all the different terms and even objects that there are to define the word God, it is obvious how important He actually is. There would not be enough paper in this world to list all that God is. It is even difficult for me to describe God because I can not put something as profound as Him into words.
