Here lies the mythology of Virgo and where she is thought to come from. The constellation of Virgo, nickname the Virgin Maiden comes from it’s Greek mythology. It is named for the Greek Goddess Demeter, which is the Earth Goddess, it is associated with the arrival of Spring. Virgo plays a major role in Demeter’s life role.
