SUMMER OF THE ALIENS
The first task required each member of year 12 drama class as a part of a small group, workshop, interpret and present a 3 to 5 minute scene from the play ‘Summer of the Aliens’ written by Louis Nowra. Throughout the presentation we needed to: demonstrate techniques of verbal and non-verbal communications through improvisation and text interpretation; Identify, synthesise and contextualise drama text and heritage; Demonstrate sustained realization of character from published script; Record, describe, reflect, interpret, analyse and evaluate own drama and the drama of others; and Maintain a reflective process journal and an organized drama folio with detailed evidence of achievement in all aspects of the subject. My group contained out of 3 people: Sarah, Geatha and me.
