In high school I had lots of friends that did a lot of procrastination. One of my friends, Chris procrastinated on everything he did. Where ever he went Procrastination followed. It was like his shadow. When he procrastinated nothing came out right. His laziness was so horrid, that graduation day almost past him by.
Chris and I had a class together, Current world issues. In order to get a high school degree we needed to pass our current world issues class. As time past in our CWI class Chris procrastinated on all the assignments and had not put together a good paper to turn in. When it came down to doing our senior report in that class, we had to write a paper on anything that had to do with world issues.
The teacher gave us 3 weeks to put together a 30 min report. Chris not being the smart guy that he is didn't even get started on it. I got started right away. While my friend went out and did all the things we wanted to do. With one week to get our projects done he still didn't have an idea of what he wanted to write about. On the week of our due projects Chris put together one of the worst speeches I ever herd. He used too many slang words, you could tell that he didn't put all that much time in to it. Most of the kids, even me were going to sleep during his speech. The next day after his speech Chris found out that he did a really bad job on his report. It was pretty obvious to the teacher that Chris procrastinated. My friend was sad and for a good reason. No student can graduate high school with out passing that assignment. Chris, not trying to take the same class over again next year, walked up to the teacher and begged for one more chance. Our teacher, Ms White had to have been one of the nicest teachers ever for letting Chris redo his paper. .
This time around I went to his house to help him write his paper. He tried to procrastinate on some of the work but I wouldn't let him procrastinate again.
