Are we still searching for perfection?

Perfection? This is a big word in the world today. Everywhere one looks; the pressure of being perfect is starring them in the face. Being perfect has a lot to do with the way things are run today. Many people strive for this goal by purchasing things that they think will help them reach this goal of perfection, due to the ideas that are embedded in their brains from the moment that they are born. In the case of women, most of them strive for the perfect body or the perfect relationship which has been defined for them mostly by the opinion of society. Many men, on the other hand, tend to be more worried about the tangible treasures of life such as: money, cars, clothes and the perfect job.

One might say that people today are in the search of perfection. This search did not, however, start just yesterday. It can be traced throughout history beginning


The quest for perfection has been a long and drawn out battle for many people in the past and many more people to come. The Greeks used a form of entertainment to show that somehow, no matter the social status, everyone has to deal with the thought of being perfect everyday. It is believed that in some cases perfection should be sought after but one should not commit their entire life to trying to be perfect, making them lead a very unhappy life and one where they are always trying to please their peers. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder and should be taken, not with what everyone else believes are perfect, but with what you see as the perfect you.
