This is a proposal for upgrades on our network that are needed. This proposal will cover different network access control mechanisms and other changes that are needed. The first piece of equipment we need is a Cisco 2900 series catalyst switch that has multi VLAN capability. These switches will replace all hubs in our network. These switches will reduce traffic, increase speed across the network, and add security by controlling which ports people can access. We will need two 48 port switches to accommodate the number of computers on the network. The total price of these 2 switches is $8699.08, leaving us with $41300.92 in the budget for our network.
