Eaters of the Dead Report
Eaters of the Dead is Michael Crichton's telling of the story of Ahmed Ibn Fadlan, a 10th century Arab ambassador from Baghdad whose mission is to interact with and learn the ways of the Vikings. Omar Sharif: Melchisdek While many films have had to deal with non-English characters speaking English, the effect in this movie is quite absurd. That's not even considering that the lead character, who's an Arab, wouldn't be speaking English in the first place, thus making a controversial point of the transition over to everyone speaking English that itself is meant to represent the warriors' Nordic language.
