That first day of college was one I will never forget it has tremendously changed my life. It was unlike any other day of school. I was taking all the classes that I wanted to take, and meeting interesting new people. But little did I know college was not all it was cracked up to be.
As my alarm clock rang in the morning of the first day of college, I woke up in an immediate panic. I had so many different things on my mind, from what I was going to wear that day to worrying about finding all my classes. I had so many numerous emotions running through me. It was my first time to really be away from home, so I was a little nervous about starting a part of my life in a new place and a new school. Not knowing any one also played a small role in my emotional rollercoaster.(this sentence doesn’t make sense) I moved from fear to excitement as it drew closer to the time when my first class was about to start. This was all a new experience for me. As I was walking to my first class my anticipation grew massively. I felt so energized when I walked into the building and down the stairs to the ancient, reeking basement. The class room was a big auditorium with the
Finally my day had come to an end and I decided that going away to college had changed my life. I was in a new place far from home, having to meet knew people and learn how to be independent. I needed to learn how to leave my comfort zone at home and take a step into a piece of the real world.

My next class was speech; I was praying to God that this would be an easy class. Well God just happened to be on my side that day. The teacher handed out the syllabus and explained that all we had to do was to get up front and tell the class about ourselves. Easy enough I thought, and after that we would only have to give four other speeches.
As the day drug on for what seemed like eternity I was beginning to feel like college wasn’t as fun as I thought it would be. Everyone kept telling me how much they loved it, and how it was the best time of their lives.
