In today's society, we are seeing more and more instances of murder. These murders are not limited to those committed by criminals in back alley's and in war zones. They are committed in our hometowns, both large and small, and the people committing these murders are being paid for their services. These murders are called "abortions".

The abortion rate among American Teenagers has drastically increased, due in part, to irresponsibility, lack of maturity, selfishness, and as a simple means of birth control. Today, the teenagers in our country, as well as those from around the world are seemingly more careless with their sexuality. Teens are engaging in promiscuous activity with partners who are merely acquaintances. The fact that few teenagers take any responsibility for their actions is a major contributing factor in the increasing number of unwanted pregnancies. Even the approach of parents whose teens


In conclusion, abortion is a cowardly way of ending a life for a child who was conceived in a careless manner, and is being disposed of in an even more careless manner. As the promiscuous activities of teenagers increase so will the abortion rate among American teens.

Sometimes the "accident" of becoming pregnant is such a social stigma to a lot of girls that they choose to handle the problem without consulting the father of the child and even their own parents. Their personal selfish pride, and the outward appearance they wish to uphold to their family, community, and friends prevent them from being able to discuss their "problem" with parents, counselors, clergy, and any professional person who could give them alternative paths that they might take.
