U.S.' Involvment In Iraq
Many different people have many different opinions, this is something we all know and have learned to deal with, seeing as how we all live in this great and free country. The thing is, many people don’t deserve these awesome privileges that we, as Americans, are born with. “Unalienable Rights,” as they are called. Some people have been known to take advantage of these certain rights, and some people have been known to break the law because of their high position of power. Weapons inspections, re-organizing foreign governments, women under the main desk…things that are totally out of the United States jurisdiction. I believe that the decisions being made and the actions being taken by our faithful country in regards to the most recent war with Iraq are just plain wrong. What gives them the right? Throughout this piece, we will determine the answer to that enigma of a question. The U.S. President’s histories have all been very mixed and disarranged. My main complaint is that they’re all just not very smart. Now, I’m not claiming to be any Einstein, but they sure as jelly better be close if they want to successfully run this country and obtain my (as of now illegal) vote. First order of business on the plated table i
The decision for military action had nothing to do with 9/11, the war on terrorism, the UN weapons inspections, weapons of mass destruction, Iraqi human rights, or any of the factors that the U.S. government would like you to believe are the true motives for war. s Bill Clinton’s sex scandal. Now come on here, folks….he receives pleasure in the pants from an intern, leaves his DNA on her dress (which she keeps, and very skankily, I might add), then he lies about it under oath. In this case, the President AND the people of the U.S. were at fault. With all of this, he gets impeaches but STILL stays in office. This may or may not have been for the better, I do not know. I mean, if Clinton HAD gone the way of the dinosaurs, Gore would’ve taken over, and no one wants that. the U.S.'s military intervention' is necessary." Bush can’t really be blamed though for wanting to better his homeland…he’s just stepping on one too many toes to do it. On the other side of the argument, Saddam IS now out of power and he’s not longer abusing his people, which is better for the whole world, I guess. Let's face it, if you believe in the U.S.'s actions, as most Americans now do, the images from Ground Zero will make little impression. Those who feel that the attack was justified will play off Iraqi civilian casualties as unfortunate, but acceptable as the price of removing what was by all accounts an exceptionally nasty dictator from power. Some may also say that we made the world a safer and better place, and that of course more than justifies a few deaths. "You have to break a few eggs to make an omelet."
