The guillotine, also known as the execution machine was invented by Dr. Joseph Ignace Guillotine. The guillotine was introduced to the public in 1972. His theory for inventing the guillotine was for the pain to be quick and not have the citizens suffer. It was so quick that it could cut off a head in 2/100 of a second.
