The United States and Pacific relations have been sustained at a steady pace of no change over the past decades. The U.S. has made sure to specifically keep Taiwan and China from any change. Even though Taiwan wants to be its own separate country, the U.S. has to make sure to keep China happy by not allowing that to happen.
