There is a popular slogan among the pro-gun lobby, which goes, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” In reality, guns are the means of this terrible violence in the U.S. and it does not matter that a person must affect the means. When all is said and done, it is the gun that is the cause of the death or injury because if that gun was not present, there would not have been an accident. Pro-gun advocates also claim that criminals, terrorists, and other people that would use weapons with bad intentions should be controlled so they could not use guns.
