“Will I have a decent job?” she thought to herself.

“Will I even have a job?” she thought once more. Dismissing her thoughts, Sarah slouched in her chair, and laid her head on her desk. Then, she suddenly fell into a deep sleep…

Sarah drove up the long driveway in her white Cadillac Escalade, with her stereo barely loud enough to hear. She had had a long day, and she couldn’t wait any longer to lie in her large King-Sized waterbed.

Sarah arrived in front of the fairly large two-story house with old-fashioned windows and doors in Las Vegas, Nevada. She casually turned off the car and slowly opened the car door. Her throat soared from all the yelling she had deprived that day.

Sarah could hear her five-year old daughter, Cadence, in the backyard swooshing and playing like there was no tomorrow. The fully rambunctious little girl came running out from the backyard, soaking wet from swimming with Sean.

“Worse than you think,” Sarah said, “but to make me feel better…they gave me a promotion!”

“Huh, what? What’s going on?” Sarah sat up in her seat/ A roar of laughter of all of the smiling teens filled the classroom. Sarah listened to Mrs. Z the rest of the class period, and started to write her paper.

“Well, did you even win the case?” Sean asked.

Then suddenly, the whole crew started to laugh out loud. Sarah stared in puzzlement, “Umm…what’s going on? Why am I not fired or something?”

As she walked in the kitchen to take an Advil, she quickly glanced at the microwave, and the time displayed was 10:45! She was supposed to be at work at 9:00 already.
