Pop Art is an American phenomena that departs from the cliche fo big, bold, raw America that became current when abstract Expressionism triumphed internationally.

Pop Art was born twice, first in England and then in New York City. Pop Art was once very appealing to those still in their early years. It was bold and colorful, and just dripping with teenage pop icons. They couldn’t help but love it. Pop Art not only attracted the young but middle aged people as well. They looked anxiously to youth for it’s excitement in the Arts and Entertainment, as well as those of all ages who recognized it’s formal validity.

When one looks at Warhol’s works they appear mechanical and untouched by a human hand. Warhol paintings and silkscreens involve the kind of formal decisions and pictorial problem solving associated with the most conventional works of Art.(6) By choosing bold flat arbitrary colors Warhol is able to produce thousands of prints of the same objects or person, and yet each of them can come out completely different .
