1.I believe that if David were a female robot instead, the story line would change slightly in some cases. For example: When Martins friends decide to test if David can feel pain they would have thought differently and the incident with the pool wouldn’t have happened. Disagreements between David and Martin wouldn’t occur as frequently and there would possibly less sibling rivalry, meaning David would not be taken to the forest.
2.David is unique because he possesses human qualities that other robots don’t such as: love, dreaming, thinking, hate. Because of these qualities David believes he is unique and he is sometimes mistaken for a human boy.

7.I personally thought the ending was fine. It was very sentimental and kind of sad how David was the only “person” left in the world after the rest were frozen in an Ice Age. I would not question the work of Steven Spielberg because I believe that after producing so many high-quality films he would have down to a fine art.
4.Teddy is a voice of reason in AI. He is basically David’s companion/buddy and follows him on all of his adventures because he is loyal to David and looks out for him. Joe is more of an adult friend because he is not as concerned as teddy is for David’s safety but still offers a lot of advice and helps him.
