The effects of cigarettes

Cigarettes are readily available in the United States to anyone who is eighteen and has the money to buy them, but the tragedy is they lead to very serious effects on your health and appearance. Nicotine is the main ingredient found in cigarettes and could very well be the most addicting drug/chemical on the planet. It is often compared to heroin and cocaine, with its addictive properties holding both the mental and physical functions of the body prisoner. This chemical makes even a person with extreme will power have trouble quitting. The truth is, this is only one side effect of smoking, there are many more.
At the very least, inhaling the harmful smoke gives you bad breathe. You shouldn't expect anything less from hundreds of thousands of chemicals burning the tips of your lips. This isn't minor bad breath we"re talking about, but such a foul odor you have slim to no chance of finding a hot date for that lonely Friday night that is coming up. Consider yourself lucky though, if all you get is bad breath because it could be something worse like very unappealing teeth.
The chemicals found in cigarettes leave you with gross, yellow teeth; the kind someone would have if they drank a hundred cups of coffee a day. The smoker probably won't notice it right away, but their teeth are changing in color, stained with every drag they take off the cigarette. If having yellow teeth doesn't bother them, then all they have to worry about is an ongoing, harsh cough, widely known as a "smokers cough".
The smokers cough isn't like any ordinary cough, it's much worse. Instead of coughing occasionally and keeping it under control with medicines and cough drops, it is sporadic and finds its way into your life any time it feels like it. This cough is normally mucousy and intense. When you are burning the cigarette and inhaling, you are sucking in a mixture of smoke and tar. The tar makes its way into your lungs and then sticks to them.
