We at this college believe strongly in making equal opportunities for all our students and catering for everyone’s needs. We have a set of values and ethics which all students and staff must follow.
To us an ethic is an accepted belief or rule that is used to control behaviour and separate right from wrong.
A value is an idea that we ourselves have which can help us achieve our goals; our list of values will always change to keep up with our new students needs.
The following areas are what we are trying to improve on and will be teaching you as part of your lessons
Fairness. We expect all students to act and play fairly when playing games or tournaments and also towards other students and staff. We will deal with any exclusion of students because of their age, sex and race very seriously as we do not accept that sort of behaviour.
Rules. All rules are set up for a reason, they are to be followed at all times and any breach of the rules will be dealt with. Understand that these rules are for your own protection and learning development, as with our other ethics this can help you later in life where rules will not be as flexible at college.
Equal opportunities. At this college we aim to make things as equal as we can for everyone. In our selection process we do not exclude people because of their race, age, gender or disability. We ourselves are trying to improve on this area and we have begun by creating links with local clubs for able and less able students. We expect our students to follow this to the letter, any racism or sexism will dealt with seriously.
