Geography course work

From finding the above information from the data that I collected from Biddulph, I conclude this investigation by saying that the main link in the aspects of Biddulph is that the houses get more expensive and the environmental quality improves the further away from the central business district you get.
The area of Biddulph that is affected the most by poor environmental quality is the Miner's estate. It is also the most well populated area. I would suggest some of the following methods to improve it: - .

             • Expand other areas of Biddulph, such as Gillow Heath, so that some of the population could move there to bring less traffic, noise and litter.

             • Demolish some of the areas worst areas, and either rebuild the houses making them of a better condition, and more valuable, or demolish them to make room for open space.

             • Re - tarmac the roads, to give them a better condition.

             • Have cameras to catch anyone who vandalises or does graffiti, so that they can be caught out and stopped. Make them clean the area that they damaged.

             • Have one main street running through the centre of the area to divert all traffic to that road, rather than in all of the little streets where people live. This would create less traffic and noise.
Road conditions are the main factor that is affecting Biddulph as a whole. To improve this, I think that this could be improved by: - .

             • Tarmac the areas that are worst affected on a 6 month basis to keep the roads smooth.

             • A by - pass is being built already, which will divert the majority of Biddulph's traffic away from the town centre.
The town centre of Biddulph has the worst environmental quality that is proved by using Burgess" theorem. I suggest that this may be improved by: - .

             • Pedestrianising the town centre once the by - pass has been made. Then no traffic at all could go through the town, and there would be far less noise.
