Helen Sumners . . . One More Angel
As most of you know my name is Helen Summers and I was in a serious accident on Tuesday in late November. There has been a lot of controversy going on about what my family wants, what the doctors want, and of course what I want. The fact that I was pregnant during the accident makes the situation a lot more difficult, but I think everyone knows what needs to be done. I am in a vegetative state, but I still know what is going on around me. No one can hear me or listen to me, but in my head I am screaming at them to just stop and unhook me. I lay here helplessly listening to them talk about what to do with me, as if I am not real. I signed my living will a few weeks ago and I expect everyone to follow it. I was very aware of everything that was going on in my life when I signed my will. Someone is waiting on me in heaven and I am ready to go, I just wish the doctors would leave me alone. I want everyone reading about my case to be very aware of exactly what happened before, during, and after the accident.
