Parents often observe a sport that their son or daughter enjoys, but do not share his or her enthusiasm. My parents discouraged me from playing high school football during my senior year. I was told that football was too dangerous; there was a possibility that I could suffer a fatal injury. Who wishes for their teenager to be crippled for life?
