Satanism

Have you ever wondered what Satanism is or what the beliefs are? The biggest misunderstanding of Satanism is that Satanism consists of worshiping the leader of evil and wrongdoing. That is totally incorrect. Satanism in fact a religion with no God. Satanism runs many peoples lives and turns them away from the true Savior, Jesus Christ. There are many forms of Satanism but the most prominent is Philosophical Satanism.

There isn’t much early history involved with Satanism. Early forms of Satanism were unorganized and very scattered, in fact much of the believers were loners and very private. The big reason for many to be private is the relation of Satanism with witchcraft. This often caused many arrests for their beliefs. The first actual formed church was The Church of Satan, which is philosophical satanism. This was formed by Anton LaVey on April 30, 1966. The church is located in San Francisco, California. This was a very important date for Satanism, they believe this is a night when witched and demons roam on Earth. LaVey then shaved his head and encouraged many of his followers to do the same. A shaved head represents many things, one reason is that many sorcerors and black magic magicians shaved their heads. T

The Church of Satan does not credit or use the Bible at all, instead the have their own holy book called the Satanic Bible written by Anton LaVey. This is the basis for modern Satanism. LaVey believes he is the one who know all and wrote his beliefs and the “rules of Satanism”. This book is nothing like the Bible.

The beliefs of philosophical Satanism are much different than the other two forms, religious Satanism and dabbling. They believe there is actually no Satan, but is looked as if he is a role model for personal pleasure. Satan is not at all viewed as a deity like Jesus Christ but instead an idea. The main motivation behind this thinking is the Jewish and Christian beliefs are very weak and ineffectual in peoples lives. The three main aspects of this are individualism, self-growth, and human potential. Criminal behavior is not accepted although many do break the law. The main followers of this are people who feel they are powerless in their lives and want to have more control. These are the beliefs of the most followers of Satanism and are the beliefs of The Church of Satan.

Satanism is nothing nut a religion that people have made up to do what they want. They want to have a reason to have to much freedom and Satanism is just and excuse for this. Satanism is nothing but a cult that make people think that they can do what the want and still be relgious.

The Church of Satan has had multiple run-ins with the media the first was the marriage of two prominent members of society. This attracted many newspaper across the world. Many of the same rites of Christianity are mocked by Satanism. A very sacred rite of Christianity, baptism is also performed in Satanism. The first baptism was given in 1967.
