Satanism

Have you ever wondered what Satanism is or what the beliefs are? The biggest misunderstanding of Satanism is that Satanism consists of worshiping the leader of evil and wrongdoing. That is totally incorrect. Satanism in fact a religion with no God. Satanism runs many peoples lives and turns them away from the true Savior, Jesus Christ. There are many forms of Satanism but the most prominent is Philosophical Satanism.
There isn't much early history involved with Satanism. Early forms of Satanism were unorganized and very scattered, in fact much of the believers were loners and very private. The big reason for many to be private is the relation of Satanism with witchcraft. This often caused many arrests for their beliefs. The first actual formed church was The Church of Satan, which is philosophical satanism. This was formed by Anton LaVey on April 30, 1966. The church is located in San Francisco, California. This was a very important date for Satanism, they believe this is a night when witched and demons roam on Earth. LaVey then shaved his head and encouraged many of his followers to do the same. A shaved head represents many things, one reason is that many sorcerors and black magic magicians shaved their heads. The forming of the church sparked life in the movement of Satanism. This prompted LaVey to form a sacred council of nine. This group met in dark rooms so that no one would see each others faces. The two goals LaVey had with the forming of this group was: the integration of magic and logic into religion and a religion base on self-indulgence, evil, and self-pleasure. .
The Church of Satan does not credit or use the Bible at all, instead the have their own holy book called the Satanic Bible written by Anton LaVey. This is the basis for modern Satanism. LaVey believes he is the one who know all and wrote his beliefs and the "rules of Satanism". This book is nothing like the Bible.
