Progressive movement-US land of freedom
According to Henretta, “The term progressivism embraces a wide-spread, many-sided effort after 1900 to build a better society.” To build a better society, freedom is involved. The term progressiveness usually brings thoughts of setting a plan in motion or going one step forward in something, progressing, if you will. During the course of reform in this time period, people underwent many changes. They realized more about their fellow man from other countries, such as the Germans, Irish, and African Americans. This was a time of economic freedom and wealth, as many jobs arose as big business progressed and more jobs were created. There was also a lot of scientific progress occurring as well. People were thinking more into different fields, like child development and the sciences of agriculture.
