Jazz
On 20 September 2003, I spent an enjoyable afternoon in the Fort Worth Cultural District; listening to jazz by the Boulevard Festival, which was free except if you wanted something from the arts and craft booths or drinks and food booth. I arrived at about 1 P.M. and first listened to Rochella Parks. During her set she played a song, ‘Rochella Lament,’ which was a traditional jazz tune. Her band consisted of a drummer, trumpet, piano, bass and her on tenor saxophone. This was the first group that I listened to and the best. This performance was on the Acura Main Stage. I liked this set because of what we were taught about the 32 bar and each instrument had a chance for a solo. I also had a chance very briefly to thank her for
